My name is Paul Hodge and I am an experienced Primary Teacher and Private Tutor. I have a PGCE in Primary School Teaching and a BSc in Biology. I am also an experienced designer of education resources for young learners having worked for Espresso Education for ten years. For your peace of mind and assurance, I am registered with the CRB.

I have over 20 years of experience of working in Education at three key stages: Foundation, KS1 and KS2, having worked in Infant, Junior and Primary Schools in Dorset and Hampshire. I teach Maths and English plus a range of other curriculum areas including ICT, Geography and History. I am available to tutor children in the Primary phase whether they are in the State or Private Sector.

I offer one - to - one tuition to children aged 4 to 11 years, from Hampshire, West Sussex, Wiltshire and Dorset. I also travel to other areas of the country. Of particular interest to me is ascertaining what the barriers to learning are and helping a child overcome these by breaking skills and concepts down into manageable chunks. I have found this to be the most powerful and effective method for elevating a child's confidence in a subject. In my teaching career, I have consistently found that children who experience success and see value in learning a subject are, in turn, inspired to greater achievement and further progress.
